Summer is a great time to prepare for the NCSN exam! If you are considering taking the summer test, the upcoming registration window opens April 6, 2026 and closes June 9, 2026. The testing window runs from July 9 through August 16, 2026.

Preparation can begin now by reviewing the many resources available to help you get ready for the exam.  The Study Roadmap will guide you to the recommended textbooks and key study materials.

NBCSN is seeking enthusiastic members to serve on the Exam Prep Committee. This committee plays an important role in supporting certification candidates by helping develop and review exam preparation resources, study tools, and educational content.

If you are passionate about school nursing, enjoy mentoring others, and want to contribute to the success of future certificants, we encourage you to get involved. Please note that to ensure fairness and exam integrity, volunteers may not have participated in exam development within the past five years.
